Arrests


Ramsey Police Officers responded to and investigated the following cases:

     

 

   On Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 1453 hours, Patrolman Bryan Arsi conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 17 North. At the conclusion of the stop, Terrance Benjamin age 48 of Poughkeepsie, NY was arrested for possession of marijuana.
 
   On Friday, June 6, 2014 at 0200 hours, Sergeant Craig Weber observed a male urinating on a fence outside a Main Street business. At the conclusion of the stop,  Ryan Magner age 20 of Mahwah, NJ was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
 
   On Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2345 hours, Patrolman Jeff Guilfoyle conducted an investigation on a suspicious vehicle in a Route 17 North hotel parking lot. At the conclusion of the investigation, James Powell age 27 of Greensboro, NC was arrested for Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams.
 
   On Sunday June 8, 2014 at 0155 hrs., Patrolman Scott Peterson responded to a traffic hazard on Darlington Avenue. At the conclusion of the investigation, Justin Sisti age 19 of Ramsey, NJ was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
 
   On Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 1134 hours, Patrolman Mike Thormann conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle traveling Route 17 North. At the conclusion of the stop, Jordan Oliver age 27 of Monsey, NY was arrested for a Mahwah traffic warrant.
 
   On Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 1446 hours, Patrolman Jeff Guilfoyle was dispatched to an Interstate Shopping Center business for a shoplifter in custody. At the conclusion of the investigation, Devon Wright age 21 of Mount Kisco, NY was arrested for shoplifting.
 
   On Friday, June 13, 2014, at 2018 hours, Patrolman Mike Thormann was dispatched to an Interstate Shopping Center business for a shoplifter in custody. At the conclusion of the investigation, John Belluardo age 53 of Mahwah, NJ was arrested for shoplifting.
 
   On June 16th 2014, Detective Adam Szelag concluded an investigation that was started on Saturday, May 31, 2014 where a Ramsey resident reported a large theft from their home. The investigation concluded with the arrest of Chloe Kelly age 19 of Wayne, NJ charging her with a $24,000 theft.   
 
   On Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 1332 hours, Patrolman Jeff Guilfoyle conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 17 South. At the conclusion of the stop,  Randall Esulto, age 35 of Bogota, NJ was arrested for a traffic warrant.
 
   On Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 1921 hours, Patrolman Matt Rork  was dispatched to a Ramsey Square business for a shoplifter in custody. At the conclusion of the investigation, Luisa Carril age 54 of Wyckoff, NJ was arrested for shoplifting.
 
   On Saturday June 21, 2014 at 0821 hours, Patrolman Scott Peterson was dispatched to a neighbor dispute on Surrey Court. At the conclusion of the investigation, Nunziata Dovi age 91 of Ramsey, NJ was arrested for trespassing and simple assault.
 
   On Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 0011 hours, Patrolman Mike Canonico conducted a motor vehicle stop on Airmount Avenue. At the conclusion of the stop, Yonatan Mandel age  29 of West Hempstead, NY was arrested for distribution of marijuana, distribution of DABs, possession of oxycodone,  distribution of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of hashish, and drug paraphernalia.
 
   On Monday, June 23, 2014 at 0202 hours, Patrolman Mike Canonico conducted a radar detail on Route 17 South when his attention was drawn to a vehicle traveling 105 mph. At the conclusion of the stop, Akmaljon Artikov age 21 of Jamaica, NY was arrested for  possession of marijuana under fifty grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued summonses for speeding and reckless driving with a suspended driver’s license.
 
   On Monday, June 23, 2014 Detective Brad Smith concluded a theft investigation that began on Tuesday, June 11, 2014, at 1520 hours when a Ramsey business reported a theft. The investigation concluded with the arrest of  Monica Arencibia age 49 of Dumont, NJ charging her with money laundering, theft by deception, computer theft, and forgery in the amount of over $500,000.
